Summary

The purpose of this paper is to develop an approximate method for determining the approximate
optimal time to replace equipment whose repair and maintenance cost increases and their
efficiency reduces with time for a discrete model. Furthermore, we established existence and
uniqueness theorem via the least-square parabola method for the optimal replacement time
obtained.
